Dear Advisors, Delegates, and Friends of EagleMUNC,
I am extraordinarily proud and excited to welcome you all to the beginnings of EagleMUNC XII! We are beyond grateful and excited to see you all back again, and welcome you if it is your first EagleMUNC. I am confident that this conference will be able to build upon our successes of last year and make this our best Model UN experience yet. This year, delegates will come face to face with some of the most crucial situations in our modern world, while also investigating the atrocities of the past in an attempt to remedy situations.
At EagleMUNC XII, committees will be set from as far back as Mahabharata, an ancient Sanskrit epic, leading up to the tribulations of the MBTA Board of Directors. Delegates will be tasked with tackling these multifaceted questions to create a better society for all people. To do this, we ask every delegate and advisor to keep our theme, “Resilience and Reformation” at the forefront of your preparation for this year’s conference. Last year, we challenged you all to revitalize for the future but now we are asking you to plan for the past.
Our committees at EXII are more innovative and challenging than many in EagleMUNC’s past. In “United Nations Commission on Human Rights,” delegates will be tasked with looking back at the deep cruelty of the Rwandan Genocide in an attempt to find a new solution to the past ethical errors that once ensued the United Nations and disrupted and displaced countless lives. Delegates will hold discussions on how to come to peace agreements and compromises while protecting their individual goals as members and leaders of the “Iroquois Confederacy.” In my last three years at EagleMUNC I have seen delegates respond to situations in creative ways and embrace issues that may very well be ones they encounter in the future. Every year, EagleMUNC gives me hope for the hands that will be left to handle this world.
As always, EagleMUNC would not happen without the support of every delegation that attends, delegates and advisors alike. We constantly strive to make our conferences as interactive and exciting as possible for everyone involved and welcome any and all feedback that you may have. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me sg@eaglemunc.org.
I know I speak for all of our staffers here at EagleMUNC, that we are working to make this the most intricate and exciting conference in our history. Our entire organization is eager for you all to see what we have planned, and to see how delegates handle the crises and events as they are revealed.
